Polished Bronze

Polished Bronze

Manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. This finish is firstly aged and then re-polished, which creates a subtle contrast between the lighter surface areas and the darker detailed areas of each product. To preserve the bright contrast of this finish, we apply a robust lacquer at the final stages of manufacturing. A perfect choice for both contemporary and traditional settings.

Please avoid using ‘Brasso’ (73102) or any other cleaning products on this finish, as this may affect the lacquer. Once the bronze begins to darken and tarnish, a dry cloth or beeswax based furniture polish can be used on the affected area to restore the shine and offer some protection.

This would ideally be beeswax (but products like “Pledge” and “Mr Sheen” work well too) and will help to remove dirt, fingerprints and watermarks. Also, regular cleaning with the aforementioned furniture polishes will help preserve and maintain the lacquer.

Regular oiling of all moving parts using our ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337) is beneficial to the longevity of your products.  This process is also highly recommended during initial installation.  An oily cloth can also be used to wipe over the product from time to time to aid protection against exterior or environmental elements.
