Design Inspiration

The Reeded collection features tactile, vertical grooves in concentric designs reminiscent of hardware from the Georgian era between 1714 and 1830. This style was heavily popularised during the Victorian era, not only due to its pleasing aesthetic, but also for its comfortable and highly tactile grip which makes it ideal for everyday use.

Our Reeded hardware adds architectural elegance and visual depth to doors and windows, serving as a perfect focal point for the eye.

Styling Reeded Hardware

The strength of the Reeded collection lies in its complexity. The intricate designs create a fantastic contrast against plain, uninterrupted surfaces such as marble worktops, painted cabinetry, and aluminium frames.

Reeded hardware can be used to bring authenticity to period properties but can also be used as a focal point in contemporary aesthetics where it may bring life to an understated space.

The Reeded details are carefully carved using a lathe and are best highlighted by creating a juxtaposition between the hardware finish and surrounding environment. For example, the richness of Aged Bronze is accentuated against pale shades of pink, cream, and beige which allow the light to shine through the engravings and highlight the design. Cooler finishes like Marine 316 Stainless Steel and Polished Chrome pair better with brighter colours like blue, green and white, although darker tones also emphasise the design well.
